About the Course

This third course serves as an introduction to the physics of rotational motion and gravitation. Upon completion, learners will understand how mathematical laws and conservation principles describe the motions and interactions of objects around us. Learners will gain experience in solving physics problems with tools such as graphical analysis, algebra, vector analysis, and calculus. This third course covers Rotational motion, Angular Momentum, and Gravitation. Each of the three modules contains reading links to a free textbook, complete video lectures, conceptual quizzes, and a set of homework problems. Once the modules are completed, the course ends with an exam. This comprehensive course is similar in detail and rigor to those taught on-campus at Rice. It will thoroughly prepare learners for their upcoming introductory physics courses or more advanced courses in physics....

Excellent course, excellent professor. Looking forward for the follow up courses on more advanced physics, I fully enjoyed this review, even though I had a few issues with the automatic grading system, which in some cases was wrong. But all in all, an excellent course by an excellent professor.

Thank you Jason!

Fantastic lecture presentations! Love Dr. Hafner's dry wit throughout the course. Material was *very* accessible - Dr. Hafner has great communication skills. Looking forward to taking his Physics 102 course next!

The course itself is well presented and the problems have a good spread of level of difficulty. However, there were a couple of problems that were not answer correctly. Most noticeably, there were questions from various students on the discussion forum regarding these problems, yet there was never any answers to those questions. Since students are paying for the course, there should be some effort in responding to questions on the forums.

Excellent lectures, stimulating HW and exam problems... but the forum is brain-dead, the staff completely absent and the grader will not accept the scientific notation.

I believe after exam deadlines are passed, solutions should get posted. Otherwise, how are we going to know what we did wrong.

Great course in general.

Thanks to Jason!
